HOW THE RENTAL WORKS
1. We deliver the sauna to you.
The sauna interior is 8' long x 8' wide. If fits 6 adults with 4 adults being more comfortable. The sauna is on a trailer and space needed for the entire unit is approx 20' L x 10' W x 12' H. No power is required to operate the sauna.

2.We do require someone available at the time of delivery to show us where you would like the sauna situated and to run through the sauna details. Please have a fairly level spot picked for the sauna to be placed. We do level the sauna during the set up.

3. We set up and supply you with enough wood logs, kindling and paper needed for 3 x 1 hour sauna sessions. Also included in your rental is a sauna bucket & ladle for steam heat, a timer, thermometer/hygrometer, and optional aromatherapy.

4. You light the fire, wait 20-30 min for it to heat up.

5. Sit back, unwind and enjoy!

FOR THE IDEAL EXPERIENCE:
-
The sauna is ready when the temperature is 65 degrees to 75 degrees celsius or personal preference.
-
The ideal length of time in the sauna is 15 to 20 minutes (it may be best for first time sauna users to start with 5 to 10 minutes).
-
Limit opening the door during your sauna session.
-
You can create steam and increase the temperature and humidity by scooping 2 to 3 ladles of water on the sauna stove rocks. This can be done multiple times throughout the sauna session.
-
Heighten your experience with the use of an essential oil added to the water.
-
Follow the Thermal Cycle:
-
HOT > COLD > REST > REPEAT
-

HOT: 15 to 20 minutes in the hot sauna.
Allow your body to perspire to regulate body temperature and eliminate toxins.

COLD: Submerge yourself in cold. Whether it be a cold pool, shower/garden hose, lay in the snow, to feel a release of adrenaline.
Cold plunge tubs are available for rent through SK Saunas when the outside temperatures are consistently above 10 degrees celsius

REST: 20 minutes of rest, ideally in nature and/or by a fire, to allow for adrenaline secretion to slow down and make way for endorphins.
REPEAT: Repeat the cycle if you so desire. Ideally the cycle is repeated 2 to 3 times for maximum relaxation.
